superkhrys asked: Oh wow! Tumblr has everything! I didn't think there'd be a tumblr of my favorite author, but there it is! :D Now, my I ask you, which of his stories are your favorite and which do you think is the scariest? :D I personally like The Horror at the Museum. (Though I haven't read a lot yet). <3
Oh, goodness. Where do I begin? My favorite is either The Lurking Fear, The Rats in the Walls, or The Case of Charles Dexter Ward. I’m also fond of The Horror of Red Hook. The Lurking Fear was absolutely frightening to me.

H.P. Lovecraft looks like an easter island head. Squidward lives in his head. Squidward Tentacles? Cthulhu? I see a pattern here.

[O]utside the ordered universe [is] that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the center of all infinity—the boundless daemon sultan Azathoth, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time and space amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.
